Character's name): Fortuné
Character's age: 16
Character's gender: Male
Series the character is from: OC

Background (with a bit of world detailing since this is an OC): In Fortuné's world, families work in an odd way. For a start, almost no one over the age of six lives with their blood relatives. Instead, they are raised by their school or trained child caregivers. Some few that are recognized as having a talent for magic are trained in it extensively.

For another thing, everyone has two names. One is the name their parents give them when they are born, which they do not use after they have been placed in an area of study. The other is the name they are given which reflects their field, talents, or some other aspect of their personality. As his name would suggest, Fortuné's field lies in Luck.

He doesn't really remember his parents -- a hairdresser mother and carriage-driver father -- since he was placed into schooling at the age of five. And he had a bit of a bad memory anyway.

He's had a fairly average time of it in school, though he doesn't have any actually close friends. Not to say he doesn't have any, just no truly best friends.

He also ironically has almost no luck whatsoever. He's a complete and total klutz, and anything harmlessly bad that can happen to him -- tripping over an untied bootlace to walking into a pole to falling flat on his face walking up to give a presentation in class -- probably will. He's also never been early or on time for something in his life.

Being sixteen, Fortuné is in what his world calls Fourth Form General Studies (grade 11), and Fifth Form Domain Studies for Luck (12th grade). He is about 5'7", with floppy green hair and light red eyes. He no doubt gets here by complete accident, much like he does everything else.

Magic skills (removed here, of course) run alongside standard D&D 3.5 rules, with Fortuné being a level 5 Luck/Protection-domain human Cleric.

Personality: Carefree and absentminded, Fortuné probably seems a bit slow at first. It does take him quite a bit to catch onto things -- he can be incredibly dense sometimes -- but more often than not he is thinking carefully about his answer (or daydreaming, which is often the safer bet). He isn't stupid by any means, though he's certainly not incredibly smart, either.

He has an almost pathological fear of lying to anyone he percieves as good, so he is very careful to be truthful. He's a lousy liar anyway -- he can't really keep a secret all that well. He usually forgets it's supposed to be a secret, anyway.

Despite his bad luck, Fortuné is a relatively happy person. He doesn't hope for anything beyond what he has, and daydreams more as a way of thinking up ideas for his drawings than anything else. He does like drawing, and can be fairly good at it when he takes the time out from his studies.

Fortuné is a bit gullible and as such prone to hero-worship. His number-one favourite person in his world is the top idol, he has the tendency to fanboy over people who impress him, although not obsessively. The only thing he has that runs close to that is his on-again, off-again attempts to find a way to get rid of his bad luck, but he is far more likely to pick something up, work on it for a while, then think of something else to do and go off and do that until he gets distracted again.
